Exposed Bolted Trusses

Roof Trusses are left exposed for several reasons. It can create a feel of open space creating more volume in a room or area. It also has ecstatic purposes if done properly. This method is called Exposed Bolted Trusses. Two main designs are used with this method, either double bottom chord with single top chords or double rafters with single bottom chord. The connections are bolted instead of nail plated. Fancy plates can also be used. For the connections threaded bar and dome nuts are used. The bottom chord is also raised in most cases. these roof trusses can be assembled in a factory or on site.
